Need help with S-Type voice teaching
Could someone please help me with understanding and setting up the voice option on my 05 S-type. Just purchased the black beauty and I am understanding the oice button should allow me to talk to the radio and other things like the AC/heating options. I tried following the owners manual but don't get the responce that the book says I should get. Someone please give me some instructions for teaching it or if teaching isn't a must-do-first, then what should I be doing.
A hint, when I push the "talk button on the steering wheel" the radio goes to mute. I think that is what should happen. PS, the car does not have the Navigation option.
Thanks in Advance

First you might not have voice installed. Have you used the VIN decoder to see if your car was ordered with voice? Or do you have the window sticker?
Second do you have the small microphone on the headliner by the sunroof? If you don't have that then you don't have voice. Usually voice and Bluetooth go together but I think they are in fact separate systems.
My bet is you don't have voice and you don't have BT. All cars got the button.
Since your car does not have navigation that means it's pretty much a stipper car so I really doubt you have voice.

I don't think a VIN decoder would tell you that kind of detail - but emailing jag direct will. Or you can ask a franchise (aka dealer). The build details are very good and usually free
