Wink Need help with tire purchase

Hi all, I am a new member and owner; I ordered rims which should arrive to day but I havent purchased the tires. I am not sure what size will fit, 245/30/20 was recommended but tire shop says they wont fit, any suggestions?

I'm afraid you'll need to at least post rim-size....beyond that year/model/type car would be a final pc. of info needed...then I'm sure youl get some advice.

Guess that would help! I have Helo 20x8.5 for 2003 s-type 3.0

Ouch. Honest opinion: sell them and get standard sized rims. Those are probably the wrong offset as well as too big. What offset are they?

8.5 is wider than the standard (even the STR fronts are only 8x18) so I suppose 245 will be too narrow. Maybe you'd need 255?

Then a tire calculator (google it) will tell you the profile. Compare against a standard size (see handbook). Might get away with 30.

They'll do nothing good for your suspension, btw.
