Default Need help wiring trailer lights

Well last weekend I went and installed a trailer hitch on my Jag. I got the hitch thru eBay and it is a Curt hitch, fits great and install was pretty straight forward. My only problem is trying to hook up the lights. I can't seem to find a converter/module for a STR. Has anyone hooked up trailer lights to their car? Any help would be appreciated.
Car is a 2004 STR.

Yikes... Why would you install a trailer hitch on such a beauty? Not saying that the STR can't handle a trailer (and then some) but why???

Yea I know, it was a hard decision and I know there has to be some designer rolling in his grave, but the tranny in my pickup(f250 diesel) is on it's last legs and will probably be laid up all summer. The Jag is the only way I'll be getting the waverunner back and forth from the lake. So I'm hoping someone out there has messed with the lights, I did a lil probing of the connector on the back of the taillights with no luck.

Much as I hate the idea...

JTIS shows the details. Modern cars tend to use the kind of electronics that can pull signals down so lights tend to be wired to +ve and switched on by pulling the other side to ground.

If you're used to older cars you can invert using a relay.

I was able to find a converter/module for a 2004 x-type, but I'm not sure if it will work. Really don't want to order it unless I'm sure it will work. Does the x-type run the same switched ground as the s-type?
