Like anything else, it's compared to what...IMO, it's not worth it unless you DIY install it...I would of rather of spent a few hundred dollars more and gone nitrous as I believe you get better results and it's safter for the motor assuming you're displined enough...

IMO, the 3 lb. is definitely worth its weight in gold. If coupled with nitrous...no one can touch you. I wish we lived near each other so yas can sample how a 3lb STR pulls out of the hole...like she has 3:73's in the rear. Remember when we all pondered the prospects of lower gears? My argument is; not only do we not need lower rear gears, but we'd do better without. The trans. is geared just right for intake, exhaust, and pulley combos...big trq. moving heavy metal without excessive wheelspin...awesome for mid to top end runs too. An LSD would be nice though.

3lb pulley vs stock pulley? yes, it's worth it and worth it's weight in gold...

If coupled with nitrous, is a different debate all together...You can't "turn off' the pulley...The bads are higher than OEM intake temps, possibly pulled timing, higher boost, you may be ever so slowly decreasing the life out of the stock motor everytime you do WOT run...

Nitrous while is most likely even more damaging to the motor and probably also your transmission due to the huge increase in TQ bring it well over it's hp limits...You usually don't use spray all the time, usually only 2nd and 3rd gear over a rpm window...Yet you get colder than OEM intake temps and usually an increase in timing. If you're displined enough to not use spray during every WOT run, I believe you do less damage to the motor than you if you had a 3lb pulley...

Stacking a pulley with nitrous is a scary thought because two offset eachother...If you're going spray, better to keep the stock pulley and if you want more power, simply up the spray...IMO...

3 lb. w/meth? The meth will both make power and cool her down from the 3 lb.

From what Ive read, the 3lb helps more with mid range but you lose top end.

Agree, but include "bottom" to midrange. I in particular, don't care too much about top end. As for the street driving, the bottom and mid is where it's at. Ohhh...to have a twin screw....?
