New Current Aux-input thread for 2003 Jaguar S-type
Hi All, Long time lurker first time poster.
I have gone down the rabbit hole of trying to install some sort of aux in/ bluetooth module into my jaguar 2003 s-type through the CD changer in the boot. I read through most of the forum posts a year or two ago and even bought a module that was supposed to be plug and play (turned out to only be compatible with 2004+ and non returnable and 80$). Here I am again, I simply cant live with FM modulator or radio solutions and I don't use the CD changer very often at all. My problem reading through the info here is that it is links to lots of unobtanium or broken ebay links.
I have no problem hard wiring the harness if I can find the right pinout. So far the schematics for the car electrical have been for the speaker and fiber interconnects, I havent been able to find the color coded wiring harness for the changer to hot wire in some sort of aux cord and then figure out how to power a 5v bluetooth module.
I dont care if its ugly I just need quality audio from my phone. Sorry if this has been posted a million times. I tried my best to get what I needed from available information, but I am still a bit lost. I have electronics and wiring experience so I am not afraid to mod my car if I can get the right info.
Has anyone made it this far? Just here asking for help.

I believe this can be achieved on the mini disc player the tape deck and the single CD player.
there is also a video on YouTube on how to adapt the 3.5 mm Jack into the multidisk shuttle as well.
if it’s Bluetooth that you require you can go on eBay and purchase a 12 V Bluetooth dongle.
with both standard RCA and 3.5 mm RCA jacks.

The Jagdroid method in via the front CD player is supposed to be the best way in if you cannot find or want to pay out for the rare jaguar audio connectivity unit. (It is slightly different method if you have premium sound or no premium sound.)
I am intrigued about the devise that you purchased and as to why it only works with 04 or newer s-type cars? More details would be good.
My guess is that they sold you one that works on the later Jaguar 'MOST' fibre network not the older Jaguar d2b fibre network as used in all the s-type cars right up to the end of production.
Denison still make the later MOST version, but have not made the d2b version for many years now.

though I could well be wrong !
However, for use in the later 2009 onwards XJ and X-type they did make a gateway convereter module that allowed the MOST DAB radio module to work on the d2b system.
These converters were part of a very expensive cost option with the DAB radio so there are very few second hand.
They are still available new for about £500!! (C2C39460 I think, but not sure?)
(The MOST DAB module C2D22450 is also still available at about £610 but it is the same unit in other newer Jaguars so these are often available second hand for under £100.)
