1. Just curious if this is a known problem or not. Basicly when I put the car in D nothing will happen. I have to move it over towards 4 then back to D and it works fine. Sometimes it will work though if I just put it in D. Just curious if this is normal or not. Dont be afraid to give me bad news
. I bought it from Carmax and I got a 36k mi/3y warranty. bumper to bumper
2. I just bought a 2001 S-Type 3.0 with the premium package and I was just curious how reliable these cars are. I just hit 60k and I was curious if theres anything I should look out for. I have always heard thatmost jagsare very reliable car but I never heard it from an actual owner.
3.I also wanted to get some new badges because my "S-Type" and "3.0" badges are fading a little.Anyone know a good site to order from?
Thank in advance for your help

1. The shifters have problems with a small internal plastic piece that snaps. Sounds like yours is on the way out.
2. Intake gaskets and some of the hose buried under it leak.
3. At this time, this is still a dealer item.

For the badges, im sure there are people on ebay or forums selling or giving away thier badges as they have debadged their cars. If i were you, i wud just take off the badges and leave the car like that, makes the car look a lot cleaner (just my opinion).
The piece that snaps does not come separately, it's part of the shifter assembly. It's not an inexpensive part either, so I would make sure that's the problem before spending the money.
