New trans! She won't move
A BUDDY HAS A 02 S TYPE 3.0 the trans has been rebuilt and it wont move like there is not enough power from the motor. My suggestion is replace the coils the motor runs good but i have had a similar problem. So my ? is are there any programming that has to be done after installing a new trans/converter he took it out and a shop did the rebuild he put it back in. If anybody has a clue it would help....
My firstthought before going to work, is the fluid is not "full".
Remove the small inner plug of the large drain plug 9allen key), see if anything comes out, WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, IN "P".
If there is, fluid is OK.
If not, top it up some more, about 1ltr, try again.
Getting these properly full after a rebuild is time consumIng, like training a puppy dog, haha.
Relax, think back a tad, it had power before, just trans problems, so the engine is fine, it just lacks hydraulic pressure.
If it threw trans codes prior to the strip and rebuild, it may have gone into "limp mode", and they will require clearing, BUT, having had the battery disconnected for trans removal, should have sorted that, I think.

Before you give up follow what Grant said.
So check fluid level and check that the shift cable has been installed correctly. The JTIS has a specific procedure and you must follow that. Most shops won't read a manual if you paid them so they probably just bolted everything in and shoved it out the door.
Don't worry about programming yet. That won't keep the car from moving but yes I would make sure the TCM has been flashed with the latest software. Pretty much a dealer only task. Just wait until after the car is driving.
Post back with what you find.
