Buy 'em both! Use the AWD X for a winter beater and pimp out the S for summer!
Seriously though, I chose the X for the AWD and manual trans, but I love the looks and feelof both. Only YOU can decide and pick which one really floats your boat. Given the 2 choices you list, if you didn't have a need for AWD, I'd probably choose the S.

I was writting some long explanation, and I erased it all and said **** it. Both cars sound good, but the S sounds like a much better deal!

I would go with the X-Type.

The older S-types don't age well.

I'd hate to disagree with you, but my S-type is about to turn 100K miles and after replacing the ball bearings the car runs like new! The only problem I have is the interior, but I fixed the little plastic things with crazy glue, so I'm very pleased with the car now! I think the only thing left that I dislike is the ...I think I'm satisfied completely, considering the fact that the car cost less than some Fords!

Buy a Hyundai. 100kmile/10year warranty. Can't go wrong....beats the Jag in the 1/4 mile acceleration, better gas mileage, cost 20 K less and has more rear leg room and some other stuff.

Only drawback is that the chicks won't flock around the the Hyundai as they do around the Jag. And you won't get the great compliments that come with owning a jag.

WELL after much thought I have decided against the love of your lives!! After talking to a local mech in my town who works on the cars, I decided I wanted something that would give me long term service. I know all cars are subject to fail at anytime. I bought an 03 Infinity fx35, sporty& agile and darn fast. So I guess I gotta join their forum instead. You guys have been very nice though-THANKS
Looser! A sad choice indeed. The S Type is the way to go.

Hey red, as much as I agree with you, I'll have to say the choice wasn't too bad! I love the growl that comes from the exhaust note on the FX too. It's the same engine as the G35 and 350Z so you didn't go wrong there! Congrats and hope you enjoy it!
