Their is no cabin heat from either side of the vehicle. The AC works fine.
the last owner (I have just purchased it) said the Jag dealer said it was the heated core! Their is no coolant lose. Any input?

Will need more info. Model year, Engine, what troubleshoot methods the dealer used to make the conclusion that it is a faulty heater core. A stopped or clogged core could not deliver heat yet not leak either....

S-type 2001 V8... I am at a loss to their conclusion, but if the heat only does not work I was wondering if any one else had experienced this problem!
Cheers,

Only way to know who's had it before is to use the forum Search.

You could have a stuck DCCV.

Probably not, as default for the DCCV is open i.e. supplying heat, the chances of it sticking wide open are unlikely.
I'd be inclined to look at the heater core, but I've been wrong before.

Yes, that's right but they do also stick closed occasionally

Cheers

You could clamp off the inlet hose to the DCCV then disconnect the outlets and loosen your clamp to check for flow through the v/v. You could also try the same thing with the heater core or use a hose.

Copy and paste a link to my page www.gusglikas.com/autorepair.htm and go to A/C 2000 S-Type to the right see if this works for you.

I think you need 10 posts, why not hop over to the off topic section and post on a couple of the sticky waste of time threads?
