O2 Sensors- opinions
I have a 2005 S-type R and have been looking into performance threads on the forum. I have a couple questions?
I know I am going to do a magnaflow x-pipe and high flow CATS
I have ~82k on the car so I know its probably time to change the O2 Sensors
There are a few different brands out there and I was wondering what luck others have had and the part numbers for the sensors.
Also, I was looking into doing a 1.5 or 3lb pulley at the same time.... has anyone had issues with the 3lb pulley and reliability, this is my daily driver and I don't drive it hard all the time but it's nice to have the power when needed.
Also any other thoughts on upgrades I should do before this or am I on the right track?
Thanks!!!

Don't know alternative replacement O2s but be sure not to use any that are not the right ones - you'd do better not to change them rather than do that. Chances are the OE are Denso front 234-9030, rear 234-4735 but don't rely on that.

The Sensors do degrade, but very little over time, they just mostly fail !
I noticed a code coming on - related to the o2 sensor, I monitored it live with my scanner and could not see any problems and it reset okay. This intermittent fault kept showing for about 3 weeks then suddenly I could not cancel the code, checked the o2 sensor and it had died
So -I have just changed my first sensor at 107000 miles.
My view would be - if it ain't broke ..........

+1
Although.... if I had no shortage of money and was sure of the correct parts, by all means replace them. But with no shortage of money I'd just buy OE parts - from a forum sponsor, of course!
