Repair of the airbox and replacing MAF sensor seem to have solved the problem. Drove on a 250 mile trip at various speeds and no faults. Trims are moving toward 0. I'm off to repair the the sunroof cassette on my BMW 528i. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

I'm back from a trip to Florida and back. No codes or ECL. Over 1000 miles plus. Until the next time, this thread is closed for me.

Emil and restrict performance back again, fuel trims high over 10. Can not find reason why ??? As I said we have done a smoke test, check engine breather valve, changed Maf, etc,,,, it is seems like there is a hissing noise , something like too much air goes in to engine , is there any other valve inside somewhere that may doesn't work properly ????

Check and report on trims instead of changing any parts. Far cheaper.

And i can say the "new" issue coming up on the 4.2 v8s with plastic and aluminum intakes. Where the plastic joints the lower injection manifold they leak and leak bad. The orings are not avail seperatly and a new intake is $1200+. Ive worked on taking apart and sealing with rtv and has not responded as i would have liked. The second one is back a day later. Resealed and try again. Maybe one of you industrious owners can source these orings...

And this guy euromark is here in houston, and going through our business accounts he is the business that buys all the rover seals we can get and then marks them up over list and resells on ebay. Soooo long story short, you can probobly get them cheaper from a rover dealer. Ps i also see him selling arnot shocks a couple hundred over thier cost. Man maybe i need to just be a ebay seller and quit here.

What about actual OBD values instead of expensive guesswork?

High fuel trims, smoke test was done , air leak is not present, maf sensor swaped from another jag, so it is not that one , air box checked and all ok, that
is why I presume egr valve can give lean bank 1 and 2
Please help!
