Default P0355, Crank Shaft Sensor

2004, Jaguar, S-Type, 3.0L, 227K, (USA))
Recently experience a long crank (no start), Diagnosed as a failed fuel pump. I replaced the main fuel pump but now have CEL with a code P0335 (Crankshaft Sensor Position A malfunction). I would like to know the location of the sensor or sensor(s) if more than one. I could not find any information for replacement on my JAG. I am not sure how difficult it would be to replace myself or should I have a trusted mechanic to perform for me, Thanks for any advice that is provided. RAC's Grey JAG S-type 3.0

The crankshaft position sensor on the V6 is located on the front of the engine, down near the crankshaft pulley. Whether you should attempt to replace the sensor depends on your level of skill and what's in your toolbox. As noted above, the sensor is located in a bit of an awkward spot, but it is not a challenging item to replace, The factory workshop manual is available for download on line:
