Default My Jaguar mis-fire odyssey

So...
My 2001 Jaguar XJ8 at 144,700 miles had the classic A drum transmission failure occur. I took it to a local transmission guy with high ratings for ZF15hp24 transmission repair. He replaced the A drum with the uprated ZF part and a new valve pressure regulator body.

Now, my engine was running fine as I brought it into the shop. No issues at all.

Once I got the car back the check engine light was in and the code reader said my number 7 cylinder was mis-firing. Now Two days later I have 4 cylinders mis-firing.

So...
My question is: what might have been reassembled incorrectly that might have created the misfire situation? Crank case sensor? Flywheel issue?

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

I'd be tempted by a failing battery.

So this might help anyone who has their transmission repaired and then experiences mis-fire codes and check engine lights:

The two O2 sensor leads were put onto the wrong sensors. They were switched by accident and that caused all the problems.

Whew. The Jaguar is running like its old self and the rebuilt transmission is so smooth...
