P1000 and P1646 2003 STR help
I have a 2003 STR. I just got the upstream O2 sensor replaced to take care of these CEL codes. But, after replacement, the check engine light came right back on. Any suggestions?
Maybe replaced the one on the wrong bank? Or with the wrong kind?
Make very sure! If it's not those then it may be wiring.
The codes PDF is in the stickies. See that P1000 is a status code not a fault.

dshirley85...did you ever find out what the what fault was?...I have same car same problem...changed all 2 O2 sensors when got code p1646..then code 1647 came up changed the other 2 O2's.....cleared codes and ran car CIL came back on with no code
any update?
Yes....I had two further issues...the engine would run hot after about 15-20 mins..fan came on quite early and would stay on after engine shut off...the temp gauge would got to a 1/2 then to 3/4th,,,never in the red....turned on the heater full blast and the temp would drop to 1/2..changed the thermostat fixed that issues.....During there during same time. I had autozone use their OBDII reader ...they found the rear passenger side speed sensor at fault changed that and CIL went off in about 10 mins.
All good now no issues
