I have a 2001 stype 4.0.
I need to replace the rear park assist speaker. I know it is under the rear parcel shelf but am asking for the best procedure to get to the speaker. There is a black plastic cover under the parcel shelf inside the trunk. Can the speaker be removed by removing this plastic cover?

 

Your best bet is to get the JTIS. Either the free download version from this web site or just buy the $10 disc on EBay. You will want it anyway for all the other great information about your car that's in it.

Where do I go to download the jtis.I have searched this forum and can't find anything about replacing the park assist speaker. I would appreciate any help I can get concerning this.

I am havimg problems downloading the tech bulletins. If anyone has the bulletin for replacing the park assist speaker or knows how to do it I will appreciate your help.The Jag shop quoted me $314 to replace it and the speaker lists for $52.00 I have ordered the speaker and don't want to pay $263 to get it installed.

Jaguar issues TSBs for clarification or a new procedure etc.

Alot less headaches, go to www.alldatadiy.com pay the $25.00 or so for a 1 year subscription and it has detailed procedures with pictures to help you along.

 

Thanks,I subscribed and easily found the answer for replacing the speaker. I will have to remove the parcel shelf .I was hoping I would not have to remove it ,but it doesn't appear to difficult.
