Parking brake problem
So I took my 2005 STR with Brembo brakes in today to have the rear rotors and pads replaced . I supplied the parts (Centric pads and rotors). The Euro only shop is normally reliable but when I got home I got a parking brake fault and then a cannot apply parking brake fault on the screen. I did not have these faults when I went in so where did they screw up? I had done the front brakes a week ago but decided to let the shop do the rears primarily because of the parking brake.
So I tried doing the reset by just pulling the F35 epb fuse in the trunk, someone on the forum had suggested this instead of disconnecting the battery said it had always worked for them. So no info. comes up on the screen and it looks like I am taking it back to the shop.
I was going to take the car back to the shop but instead decided to swap batteries. Because I did not have the right size wrench at home I reclamped the positive battery clamp and now I do not have any parking brake faults on the screen. It looks like the parking brake module was reset when the battery was disconnected and then reconnected.
