Default Part Replacement for S-type

Hi,

I just went back from local O'Reily auto part store, and was trying to buy the housing (the white part) of my front left turn signal lamp.

They said they don't have the one for jag s-type, but when I ask is there any equivalent part ? they said they don't know.

Any one has an idea of the equivalent of this part ? Jag dealer ask for $60.00 each for this. Is that reasonable ?

Thank you very much.

You won't find any parts outside the dealer.

Yeah,

That's what I'm afraid too, but Bulbs, you can buy from regular auto parts. Maybe just bulbs and wiper blades

$60 is really robbery, there has to be another way. It is only a bulb holder, maybe you could find someting at the auto parts store that you could adapt if you take the old one and have a rummage.

See if they have a listing for the Lincoln LS, it might work

Hhmmm,

I actually take it out, bring it down to show them what it looks like. Then they ask me what kind of vehicle, they put it in the computer, and found nothing.

I'll try to ask them to find Lincoln LS and see if it matches.

Thanks guys.

Try a auto recycling center aka... junkyard, boneyard etc.... Isn't there one that advertises here, somewhere in Texas? You can find manny junkyards online that will have the part(s) that you need and will ship.

Do you need the turn signal that's in the headlamp assembly or the one on the side in front of the front wheel and butts up to the bumper chrome?

Ken:
I was looking for the passenger side turn signal socket that is mounted in the headlight assembly.

Looks like Jaguar has us in jail on that one. No aftermarket available from what I can tell. I don't know what the LS lights have. That appears to be your only chance.
