Passenger door
In this case, I moved your thread from UK to S-Type forum leaving a redirect in UK forum. If you click on it there it brings you directly to this thread location.
More importantly, let's see if anyone can tell you how to open the door!
Graham
Thumping at the right moment might work but otherwise - someone's done it before and it's not wonderfully easy or nice. Search on here or it may have been the UK-based forum. Quite detailed info was posted.
Hi , I have read about how to repair the rear door lock however I am still unsure of how to get the door unlocked so that I can do the work?
Thanks

I looked this up on another site.
"You need to remove the rear seats then you can try to pull of the panel to release the latch. The latch assembly will most likely need to be replaced. Fold down the rear seat then there is a black lever you need to move and the top of the side seat will come out then you can pull out that side seat bolster. To remove the door panel remove the inner handle cover then remove the black screw cover in the panel pull handle. Remove the two Phillips then the panel can be removed carefully"
"Once you fold down the seats the lever is on the top of that side bolster. These are the same as the bottom"

This is a theoretical answer, for me, so I have not used this advice but I hope this helps you out.

Removing the door panel with the door closed is one of the hardest jobs to do without messing up the door panel. It can, however, be done. Just be patient and follow the instructions shown above.
