When Jaguar had Lucas wiring and instruments you really needed help from the spirits. Please keep us posted on how your quest goes, Scrannel. What you learn may be of great help with classic Jaguar owners too.

The other day a stereo installer took off my front passenger side door panel in order to test the door speaker (all was well), but ever since he put the door panel back on the window will roll down on it's own everytime I turn the ignition on or off. The day after I get into my car in the morning, turn the ignition ON and the window rolls down on it's own and the master switch on the driver's door has no effect. I had to cycle the key OFF and ON in order to get the window to roll up. Then yesterday several times when I turned the igntion OFF, the window rolls down on it's own.

What do you guys think, seen or heard this before?
Never heard of this with S-Types but your guy probably only did it to your car. His next job is to fix it!

I'm afraid to ask, but the Lucas Workshop burned to the ground didn't it?
