Pic of my coolant sensor...Is this bad??

Default Pic of my coolant sensor...Is this bad??

Is that wire in the glass supposed to be attached?? or is this broken

No its supposed to be that way. It makes contact when It's hot. Basically a thermal switch. It detects coolant by virtue of the temperature. Basically if that sensor is immersed in coolant, you have enough.

hmmm..so maybe the float is stuck cause everything else seems perfect and only after i took off the tank and re installed did i get the issue

Let me see if I can dig up that sensor...

Take the plug off the sensor, and jump it with a wire. It should turn the light in the dash off...
