Hi JOsworth, I apologize if I wasnt clear. Yes, the car runs fine under light load. When I originally had the problem, the CEL light stayed on, but the resticted peromance warning would pop up when I gave it some gas. It didnt have to be WOT, but it was close. When they diagnosed that, the codes were P1314 and P1111. The dealer replaced all the coils/plugs on bank 2 said it was "fixed." The moment I gave it close to WOT, the CEL and resticted perofmance light came on. Back at the dealer he told me the new codes were P0302, 04, 06, 08 and P1316. He stated they checked the cats, flushed the fuel injectors (which seemed to help according to them), checked for vacuum leaks etc. When I picked up my car, there were no lights on and as long as i drive her lightly, she runs fine.maybe slightly rough at start up. My other mechanic (works on my Tahoe) revved it up, CEL and restricted performace lighs came back on and he pointed out a distinct rattling, which he said is the Cat...behind bank 2..the one on the drivers side. So I'm getting the Cat replaced either between now and Wednesday. At that time I will know for sure if it was indeed the Cat(s). But that rattle was pretty obvious. Hi Forum, I replaced the Cats yesterday and so far, knock on wood, no CEL! I gave it significant throttle, but not WOT yet...I'm going to do that today and see if she behaves...

 

Hi Forum,...went WOT several times today and no CEL. You guys were absolutely correct. It was the Cats and not the fuel injector. So as it turns out, the dealer wanted to charge me 5.3k..plus tax for new fuel injectors that I didnt need. All I needed was a $225 pair of Cats! All I can say is thank you guys!!! If it were not for you guys, I may have just went ahead and paid the dealer because I really love this car and would have been out of 5 grand!! Thanks guys.
