I bought a radio from junk yard, called dealer and they told me code by VIN.
Code didn't work, so the only chance to get a code would be by radio #.
Dealer said he couldn't. I'll call some other dealer, should I try customer service?
Problem with my original radio is volume knob doesn't change volume.

Enter any code 3 times so that the display shows "PLEASE WAIT"

Simultaneously press ">>" "PTY" "A.MEM" should only take 2 or 3 seconds and the radio turns on.you must follow this and enter codes until it says "PLEASE WAIT"

you must press the buttons together i.e. at the same time

It is backdoor which works on some of the radios fitted to the s type.
