Default Power steering fluid (***help***)

Can anyone out there help me get power steering fluid for my 2007 jaguar S-Type R. Preferably Mobil ATF 320 or what jaguar recommends.Looked everywhere in my city Edmonton,Canada but can't find any. If anyone has a link to where I can buy some to ship to Canada for cheap it would be greatly appreciated.

If memory serves, the X202 uses Dexron 3 for the power steering system. Is that what you searched for?

I'm not sure to be honest with you. All I know is that it's red in colour

Jaguar recommends Dexron 3 for the facelift X202, so that should be readily available in Canada.

The ONLY S-Type that used a different fluid was the early X200 (to VIN L86901) that has a Ford Steering Rack.
The recommended fluid was ESSO 998.
All others (from VIN L86902>) used DEXRON III
Jaguar OEM fluid came as MOBIL 320 PREMIUM ATF part number JLM21703. (superseded or discontinued NLA)

Would the 2007 Jaguar S-Type R V8 4.2L engine considered a x202 model cause I'm not quite sure what you mean. I'm still a rookie when it comes jags 😁

It's a newer internal Jaguar designation (e.g. X206) but still Dexron III.

The 'pre-facelift' S-Type from 1999 to 2002.5 was called the X200, which used the AJ28 4.0 litre V8 coupled to a Ford 5R55N gearbox.

The 'facelift' S-Type from 2002.5 to 2008 was designated as the X202, which used the AJ33/AJ34 4.2 litre V8 coupled to a ZF 6HP26/28 gearbox. The S-Type R variant used the AJ33S/AJ34S 4.2 litre V8 and the same ZF gearbox as the normally aspirated model but with internal differences.

Refer to the vehicle Workshop Manual for all specifications. Here is a link to the Workshop Manual for the X202:

The designations "X202", "X204", "X206" are easy to remember it you remember the last digit denotes the model year of the vehicle. So my 2006 is an X206

From 2002 to 2005 Jaguar issued TECH TIPS to Jaguar Dealer Mechanics as well as a download capability for TSBs and other info.
One of the Tech Tips from 2005 included an explanation of the Model Code Designation.

Here is the February 2005 Tech Tip .pdf I saved from years ago.

EZL 998 can’t be found anywhere nowadays, regardless it is probably just Dexron 2E. the LS uses the same rack with mercon

Correct same as the Lincoln LS. Use Mercon same rack as the earlier S Types have.
