Default Power Steering Pump Replacement Advice

Hello, I have recently discovered that I have a leak from my power steering pump and am thinking about repacing it myself, however I always think its a good idea to firstly find out how this is done and if it is difficult. I would like to ask anyone on the forum if they have done this before and if they have any good tips, is it difficult and also if I need any special tools to carry out the job. The engine on the car is the 2.5.

If you intend to replace the pump yourself, obtain the JTIS manual, which will detail the operations necessary to remove and replace the pump and refill with the correct fluid.

It is also a good idea, if you have not already done so, to obtain a set of spanners (wrenches) that include a short 18mm in case the pressure fitting is that size as they can be difficult to reach on some cars.

Thanks for the advice. I currently have the JTIS manual but can not find any info on the power steering pump. Where is it?

It's in the chassis section 211-02 subsection power steering - removal and installation.
