I would hesitant using wd-40, it's a slovent and may cause unforeseen problems if not compatible with the bushing material.
Perhaps something like a graphite spray on (or other similar compatible stuff) might be better.

 

Finally, the squeak developed so it was there even when bouncing the suspension, so off to a local Jag specialist and it is a lower bush, £85 to supply and fit.
