Default Problems with my new(used) s-type

Hello jag community,

I've recently swapped my VW Golf mk. 5 2004 for a 2001 S-Type 3.0 V6. I can't put into words how impressed I am with the jag. Oh god, everything it's so solid, and the drive is simply amazing, also this is the smoothest steering I've ever drived (bmw, vw, volvo, peugeot, etc). But being a 11 year old car it's bound to have some problems. I've been at a mecanic to diagnose it and it has a problem with one of the catalysts and the distribution(P0430 Catalyst system efficiency below thereshold bank 2, P1381 and P1386 Variable camshaft timing over advanced bank 1 and 2), leakeage problem with the door on the roof(sry, English is not my native language), radio display doesn't work (the radio works, the original speakers are amazing). Also I'm wondering how can I use a phone with the car if I don't have the original Motorola.
Do I need to change the catalyst because a new one costs ~500$ and what are the distribution errors?

In the UK we have a government test that makes us get a new catalyst but it may not be the case where you are. I am also impressed with my jag and find I after a long trip I do not feel tired at all!
