Question about DSC system
Greetings!
2005 S-type 4.2 NA - 144,000 miles US version
I recently was forced to drive through a flooded street. After getting clear of the flood I noticed that an Amber warning light was illuminated on the dash along with a message that reads DSC Unavailable and the no traction light was also illuminated. I did a hard reset and they all still remained illuminated. After a couple of days of dry weather everything returned to normal.
It seems now that anytime it rains [even slightly] both the warning lights and the message come back on. Wait till it's dry outside and they all return to normal.
It seems to me that moisture is getting to a sensor or a connection. Is this something I can diagnose and repair myself? Where should I begin? I have read that the DSC system is tied to the ABS system but I am not getting any ABS warning lights. Are the sensors that control the DSC only on the rear wheels? I know my simple OBD reader will not help me here - will my independent Jaguar repair center be able to diagnose the problem if I am not able to myself?

If you have a simple OBD scanner it may not be able to read if there are any DTCs present with the B or U prefixes. Have a Jaguar specialist check for any stored DTCs and if there are any present, post them here.
Periodically with my car the DSC and ABS warning lights start coming on at the same time. Usually within a week or two they go off and stay off. Once I had to replace a fuse. What happened with you?
