Default Urgent!!! DSC System fault light on

Hi all,

Daughter is driving the car and she just called with the DSC system fault lite coming on. I did some checking and it could be the battery correct. Can she still drive the car. About a half hour from home. Thanks.

Yes, she can drive the car - you need to get a scanner capable of reading abs codes and post them here for guidance.

The DSC system is probably the most misunderstood electronic control on the Jaguar models.

The DSC light flashes to indicate the system is operating. If there is a fault, then the message centre displays the Amber Warning DSC NOT AVAILABLE. In these circumstances the vehicle behaves as if DSC was not fitted.

The DSC light flashes more often from spirited driving than it does from a loose battery connection.

Thank you both for the response. Crazy thing is I had posted a few years ago this same question and forgot. It sucks getting old! I guess just became frantic with daughter driving the car and thinking something might happen to her........wait a minute, who am I kidding. I was worried about my real baby. Thanks again. Will follow advice.
