Hi, have searched threads on this but don't think I have the answer to my xk8 2003 jag that flashes a warning DSC when I accelerate assertively. The warning stays on until the next reboot or start. No symptoms or associated problem are evident

 

Most cars will flash a DSC light when the DSC is working. The light simply tells you the system is active. If you turn off the DSC switch while driving then turn it back on, does the warning go away?

 

Does the message centre show:

1. DSC SYSTEM FAULT
OR
2. DSC

Both are amber warnings. (1) is a fault message and (2) confirms when DSC is operating.

thanks guys . this message comes on ,as explained, after a vigorous acceleration but will not extinguish until a restart or reboot of ignition. does not occur again until acceleration is applied but then the message does not illuminate every time! the message does not go away when I deactivate the dsc & the message is DSC system fault

 

What DTC is logged in the ABS module???? (there will be a code)

We can all guess until??????????????? but the only way to KNOW is to have the DTCs and diagnose from there.

I know, I know........ (whining voice) "I don't have a code reader to read Chassis Codes"!!!!!!

Let the guessing begin!! (I have a bowl of popcorn all ready for this).
