Question about factory Sirius
I bought my 2007 S pre-owned, but it had the original window sticker in the car. So here is my question, it says on the sticker that there is a $450 option for Sirius Radio, but there is not Sirius unit in the car and it does not appear that the previous owner removed it. Any idea what was included in this option? Was it just the pre wiring or something? It's an 07 S V6 with no audio upgrades other than this item. So just the base single disc cd player. This is the first car I have had that does not have Sirius and I am really missing it, so I wondered if anyone knew what this option was and if it will help in getting after market Sirius installed. Thanks for your help.

If you had it, it would b located in the dash where the flip up ash tray lid currently is.
When you have Sirius the remove the ash tray lid with a piece of plastic that matches the NAV plastic surround.
You can have the dealer install it for you BUT seems odd you bought a card and the original window sticker says the came equipped and its not in there now?

I know this is an old thread, But I just installed a Sirius Stratus 7 in my wife's 2004 S type. She did not want the ashtray door removed. I located the head unit in the Armrest cubby box. Yes, you have to open it to change the channel, but, the dash is unaltered. And, more importantly, its what she wanted.

For all that, it's not only an old thread, it's an ancient, pretty-much-dead thread. Rather than a defibrillator (LOL) to revive an old thread, suggest in future you start a new thread . . . as no-one from 7yrs ago is likely to add, respond or perhaps, even be around.
You have a great story to contribute, so start a new thread . . . perhaps with a link back to the old thread for anyone who may want earlier discussion . . . although IMHO, there's not much there to get excited about. Sounds like you have an updated story. Why not add pics and give it a fly?
Cheers,
Ken
