Hello guys, i'm in search of the windshield of my 2001 S Type (also the missing interior parts mention in other thread), as i mention before my best friend in this journey has been ebay, still missing lots of interior parts and haven't found the windshield over there either. so, searching on google i have found 2 web that sales the windshield (partshotlines.com and Glass.net), in the first one after i put all the info of the car and clic search it show me this window asking what kind of glass do i have





I know that my car has the automatic dimming mirror with compass and the rain sensor but i don't know if is heated or not, how can i verify if is heated or not?

Recently thought about replacing my 01 v6 windshield with the cheaper windshield without heater and sensors. I recently replaced one on my 03. I’m sure the 03 style glass would fit and be much cheaper but I would also need a 2003-2008 rear view mirror. Not sure if you’d want to do that but if it does fit it’d be a lot cheaper then the heated glass.

 

heated windshields have little black lines in them they’re really obvious at night. either way they cost more than your car

just get the cheapest option and slap an ebay backup camera mirror in it

 

I guess a backup camera mirror would be an upgrade but if you have backup sensors it’s kinda redundant and I personally prefer the sleeker 2nd gen rear view mirror to the 1st gen bulkier mirror.
