Question to our experts
I lost the driving control of my STR, in a full rainy day and i hit the rear whel in the central wall of the highway . The result was to bend the rear bridge (suspension) and the whel is now leanig . So now i have to change the whole rear bridge. The question is : our STR have the same rear suspension with the V6 or are diferent, cause from V6 i can found a lot of good used parts here.
Thank you
Thank you
The answer is that the s type V6 and the STR have the same rear subframe, the models after 2003, but notice, that some of them , they have not support for the electric rear brake.
You can use the official Jaguar Classic parts website to find all the part numbers you need and to see when the parts changed. (It looks like there was a change at vin L76999, at vin M45255 and then vin N70949.)
So if you have an 2003 Model Year car (with a 31Mxxxxx vin number) I guess you will need a sub frame from a 2002.5 (21M) model year car up to a 2007 model year car.

As always any corrections to the above are most welcome.

Thank you Mellow ,very usefull that link. As i wrote i allready install a used subframe from a 2003 MY. The only problem was that there was not support base for the electric handbrake. I solved with my old base and now is ok.
