Question to the Techs out there....
I took my 2000 S-Type 3.0 to the dealer because of no heat. They replaced the thermostat and said it's not getting hot like they think it should. The tech that worked on it mentioned something about "because I replaced the stock GPS system with an aftermarket radio/Nav, that it could be the reason it's not getting hot like it should. And, the outside temp is reading 26 degrees, but it's not that cold in the shop." Saying that the dual climate control and GPS modules are tied into one another.
Now, this sounds like a total blow of smoke up my ***, but is this accurate?

It depends on how the wiring was handled for the aftermarket nav/stereo install. The climate control depends on several temp sensors both inside and outside the car and if the wiring for one of those sensors was or is interupted for the install it could very well have an effect on the climate control system. If you have seen the outside temperature displaying a temp you know isn't accurate it certainly could be part of the problem.
