Quick Nav question
I have a quick (and somewhat dumb) question about how the nav system works.
I understand having the map set to the right area that you are in.
However, if you are going on a road trip that crosses between map areas (e.g. from Pennsylvania to Ohio), do you set the map area for your destination? Or can you not get direction until you cross the border?
Thanks.

Set the area to cover the address of your destination. Enter the address and you are good to go. The Nav will guide you all the way.
Make sure to switch the area back when you get home or you will have trouble finding local addresses.

The way mine works (2005 S-Type) is that I set the map to the area of my destination and then select the destination. Once I have the destination selected and the route is calculated, I then set the map back to my area. In fact, so long as I don't erase the destination, I can continue to use it.
