Default Quickie Question: Series Number Designation

Can anybody tell me what the Series designation means for the S-Type? The full description of my specific car, kindly provided by Cambo, shows it as 'Jaguar X200, Series 35'. The X200 is obvious, but I am curious what 'Series 35' signifies.

G'Day Joedotcom - re 'where have you found series 35', I was provided a full listing of the as-built inclusions and exclusions for my vehicle (e.g. it told me it included CATS but excluded cupholders) and the very last line of the listing said it was Series 35. It just made me curious whether it did mean anything or not.

As well as the VIN number you will find the date stamped on every body component. The one for the body shell is under the RH inner wing/fender.
Here is a photo of my one when I had the wing/fender and cover off to replace the wing/fender that shows you where it is:

Also the engine number on the V8 is the year, month, date, hour, minuite (two digits each) that is was built!

My car has a Ford logo stamped into it just near where your date stamp is. I felt kind of violated when I saw it .

They owned Jaguar then. Aston Martin, too.

Just looked at the printout I have from Ford ETIS on my car, MY 2001 V6 manual, and it includes the info: Series 10

I expect it means something but there is no further info pointing to any particular direction.
