Default Quiet Brand of Pads and Rotors?

can you guys tell me a good brand of pads and rotors thats inexpensive? I have wearever brakes right now and they suck. They are ceramic pads, but they sequel like crazy! And the rotors make sort of a grinding noise when I am backing out of my driveway when I release the brake pedal. I was told they sequel cause they dont sit the same as the oem pad. Not sure if its right, but just wondering what you guys use.

My Indy said same BS ....bla bla bla your rotors are bad,you need new ones,I had same noise like you,but I decided went cheep way at first,so I changed just brake pads to ceramic and the problem was resolved... I used Power Stop Only Brake Pads & Rotors | Power Stop 1-Click Brake Kits

hey tom thanks for the info. what kind of rotors pads did you have before you went to the power stops? Right now I have slotted rotors in the rear and regular in the front. The fronts have cheap rotors that were 25 bucks a rotor from advanced auto parts. The slotted rear came with the car when I bought them. And for the pads they are brand new all the way around with wearever ceramic pads. I was thinking I would get the power stops as well.

I've run Wagner ThermoQuiet semi-metallic pads on all of our vehicles for several years now. A friend in the brake business recommended them to me four or five years ago for their silence, longevity, and very affordable price. He was right, and that's the only brake pad I install now....

I have POWER STOP ROTORS AR8160XPR (drilled and slotted) on the front (2002 S-Type 4.0) with AKEBONO ACT805 pads. They were not the most inexpensive, but I wanted performance brakes especially on the front. They definitely stop more efficiently than the stock brakes. I bought the Akebono's because of the recommendation by everyone about the low dust producing factor. They are much better than the stock brake pads as I don't have to clean my wheels every other day. The drilled/slotted rotors are a little bit noisier than the stock rotors, however, I can depend on them not to fade in emergency braking.

Stock pads and rotors do not fade in emergency braking. Slotted/drilled rotors are nothing more than bling on street driven cars.

I have Raybestos pads and rotors on mine now, very low noise and dust.

All my rotors are stock, just new Power Stop ceramic brake pads and I'm happy with that,no noise,no dust on wheels and good stopping power.
