Try to replace resevoir on 2005 s-type 4.2 and cant see how the bottom black plastic piece removed from old resevoir, even took top hose loose to raise resevoir up more but there are like 3 hoses attached to the bottom. Is there a special tool or what needs to be done to get it off?

 

Their is a metal U-shaped clip that holds that lower plastic hose to the resevoir. Pull the clip outward and you should be able to release it. Also notice the small connector on the bottom of the resevoir which is for the coolant level sensor.
