Fair: probably not. Normal: yes. Most dealers will charge an hour to an hour and a half to reflash. I would say it's right in the neighborhood.

Excuse my ignorance, I'm just a bit curious. How will flashing the ECU help with the Lurch? Also, could you describe the lurch?

Are you shure that they are not talking about reflashing the tcu? Your post says TC "trans" but you ask about the ECU "engine"?

the dealer clear's the shift adaptations and reflashes the tcm with coded access which means the laptop will give a code then you call jag to verify the code then they give you a code.. then it get 's reflashed for the specific problem..which updates the tcm software.. then the tech must drive the vehicle and relearn the tranmission drive cycle's and shift patterns .. certain procedure that must be done.. to get it to shift perfectly.. they will charge you 1-1.5 hrs which is a decent time..

I got a price of 295.00 to have both reprogrammed. I was told that if I'm not experiencing any real problems to leave it alone until something changes.
