re mounting a leaper ornament 2002 s-type

I have a question, I am replacing my hood ornamentm, that some fool stole off my car. is it easy to replace one? all I have on my hood now, the plate, with the hole. please help

Sorry to hear the misfortune.
but if you want .. go to ebay and bid/ buy the ornament .. i think around $60.
or you can do an emblem instead of the ornamental.. just like the XF/ XJ new series... (no longer has the ornamental)

Yes, they are quite easy to replace yourself. The base is held in place with a big nylon bolt on the underside and some double faced adhesive tape. Unscrew the bolt with pliers or an adjustable wrench. Then slide some fishing line between the base and the hood to break the adhesive tape bond.
