Is there a question here that I am missing, or possibly a comment?

We have owned our 2005 S Type for 8 years. I have replaced rear pads one time. Oh I did choose to go with AutoZone ceramics.

If the wear is excessive, the calipers are probably sticking a bit.

We have 2001 3.0 Sport 50, 000 miles and I changed the rear pads for first time about 10,000 miles ago.
