Default Rear Door Handles Hard To Open

Hey guys, I have a 2000 S-type and I noticed that the rear doors are a little hard to open from the outside. This neverwas a problem when I first bought thecar a long time ago.Half the time somebody wants to get into the back, they think that I haven't unlocked the doors. The inside handles seem to open just fine. Any ideas?

The rod is binding. You can take the panel off doors and try and spray lube latches. If doesnt work, you will need to replace. Not a good job on S
