2 questions

just got 2000 s type and have a couple questions if anyone can help!

the fan runs alot is this normal?
the mechanism for the ash tray and cupholder dosen't close anymore. any way to fix?

any information would be helpful

if it runs high.. may be slightly over heating.. and the ashtray needs a cover or the housing.. both pretty cheap to fix.. or a tiny latch
