Is the rear end on the S-type R the same as the sport with the 4.2L?

From the differential to the wheel studs are the parts the same on the S-type R as they are on the sport with the 4.2L?

I imagine the spindles are different since the R comes with bigger breaks.

I ask because a guy I know has a totaled S-type R and is willing to sell me parts. I'm thinking I could put his R rear end and front end in with the better breaks. I'm just not sure if it would be easier to just change the spindles or slide everything out of the diff axle and all.

rear end is the same. I would say that the R brakes are better. At least they are more expensive

Depends which year type R it came from. Not all years had bigger 'better' brakes.
