Default Rear lower control arm bushings are two the same?

I am redoing the rear suspension on my 2000 4.0 S-type. I have most of the parts but I did just order the outer bushing for the lower control arm. Looking at the arm I think two on the three bushing are the same can anyone verify that this is true?

I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure (but if you have the part in front of you, you should be able to determine the answer by using calipers (verniers)).
I am replying, because if you ask the question, this means that you plan to swap the bushings. If your bushings are the same as mine, the bushings are OK, but the grommets are buggered. I solved this issue on my side by cleaning the bushings (while they remained built in in the control arm), I replenished the bearing grease, and I added new grommets. I got those grommets by ordering a mixed bag of all kinds of sizes of grommets on Aliexpress. You can measure your grommets and check, what will be in the "mixed bag" so that you can be sure that you get something, which fits.

Thanks, I didn't think about just changing the grommet ( rubber part). This bushing itself doesn't feel worn out or sloppy. I will give that idea a try.

Sure, if the bushing itself does not feel healthy, that's the way to go. Apart from the grommets my bushings were alright.
With calipers you should be able to confirm, if the bushings are the same. Also check, if both bushings are either "solid" or if the internal "hole" can be moved (some bushings are a joint at the same time). You'll need a hydraulic press to swap the bushings.

Having recently replaced all the rear bushes on my car I can confirm this. They are a real pain to remove without a press. In hindsight, I should have bought new arms complete with bushes. It would have saved a lot of time and aggravation.

I would definitely measure first...
Powerflex suggests these could be different sizes.

both are 59mm. you are wasting your time and money trying to press new ones in.

go on ebay get a pair of new arms for an xf and some home depot washers. or used from a 15+ xj or f-type

Since the bushing are on their way I will try one side to see how it goes. I do have a 10ton press. If it is a pain, I will buy new control arm for the other side. Thanks for the input

Note that Powerflex lists diagram refs 11 and 12 as the same bush. But IIRC one uses the washers included in the kit and the other doesn’t.
It probably won’t be too difficult if you have a press. I had to apply a lot of heat to get my large bench vice to press them out as they had corroded together nicely over the last 23 years.

I understand now both bushing are the same diameter but one is longer than the other.

Here is a photo of the order for the rear lower control arm bushing (outer bushing). I install them last weekend, I used a 10 ton press, definitely need a press to do this job.
