Default Rear sunshade

Hello,

I'm troubleshooting my rear sunshade on my 00 S type. I removed the all assembly and I started to disassemble the motor with his reducer.
Are you interested about how to remove the sunshade or do you want pictures if you want to retro fit it ?
I am making this thread because before I started that repair quest I noticed that there is a lack of picture and information around the rear sunshade. So let me know if i can help you

I am disassembling mine in my X358. It broke in two places at the ends of the large swivel arms... with these two flimsy plastic parts, there was no way it wouldn’t break. There is no part number on them either. I have to either melt a metal wire clip in to stabilize the rotating parts, or 3D print them.

Those plastic parts are available, aftermarket. Plenty on fleabay and amazon. All with varying quality I would expect. The rear sunshade I believe was German sourced on the x202 and probably beyond. Very similar to the BMW sunshade. Search for 'BMW sunshade slider kit'.
Not sure about the x200 sunshade. It is different but could be from the same source.
I did find plenty of forum info on the x202 and beyond retrofits; I am just going through the process myself including relining the sun bleached velour trim in leather and plan to post when finished.

@jya , unbelievable! I searched up and down for "Jaguar rear window blind slider arms" on where-you-said and other places, and all I could find are the blind assemblies for $700-$1400.
Thank you! It's like finding Easter eggs early!

(I have already modeled and ordered a 3D print of the broken pieces yesterday though. Let's see whether the aftermarket ones can compete!)

They are different on the s type x200, and I also broke one of them. I fixed with a little bit of glue.

About the motor i've just found out that the Jaguar's sunshade motor is exactly the same on different brands. We can find it on Mercedes, BMW, Audi and more.

Here is a link where we can see the motor and its gear that come from a E38 BMW.
