Question Rear wheel bearings ??

Hello everyone, I am in need of some assistance and would appreciate some input.

The issue I am having is a friction/light grinding sound coming from both sides of the vehicle. After driving the vehicle id estimate 10-15 minutes the noise becomes apparent or appears. However, it is not noticeable unless there is something that can deflect the sound such as driving close to divider on the freeway or other vehicles.

I am not feeling any vibrations and ride quality remains consistent, I believe that it is bearing and in the rear.

If it is related to the rear wheel bearings, has anyone here diy'd them and if so any input in regards would be very very much appreciated, and will the abs tool be necessary

Though i believe car info is listed if not it is a 2005 s-type N/A with 109,xxx
miles

Thanks in advance

Hello Mikey, thank you for responding,
I assumed it was brake noise and I took apart the rear calipers and removed the rotors and cleaned up and polished the inside of the caliper ( being very careful around the rubber surrounding the piston), caliper mounting bracket, tops of both rotors, behind the pads (applied some CRC brake quiet) hoping it was just dust build up. I also checked the clearance of the backing plate to rule out possible contact also cleaned it.

What do you suggest or recommend that I check out, sorry for the late response been very occupied with school/work/ and a coolant leak.

There was no change

I am also giving thought that the noise could be due to prop shaft joint needing greasing or bearing replacement, however, from what ive read and problems associated with the u joint its unlikely, i suspect it to be wheel bearings, however besides the constant noise (metal friction sort), I am not getting any symptoms of bad wheel bearings, noise does not shift with weight distribution when making turns.

I haven't/won't be able to get all 4 wheels up to check movements in and out most likely for the rest of the week, I changed my thermostat assembly 2 months ago and replaced the serpentine, and my water pump bearing/seal failed and Im working on replacement at the moment.

I dont want the absence of symptoms to give me a false sense of security and end in a catastrophic failure.

Thank you for the suggestion Mikey !
