Rebuilding front window regulator for a 04 s-type
Hi. I have a 2004 s type with pieces broken/missing from the front passenger regulator. I've been reading all sorts of post on this forum about using the Lincoln LS regulator as a replacement for the the Jaguar regulator. I really want to do this because it looks like a regulator can be had for $60 or less without the motor, I just need to be sure about something before I make a purchase.
Can I buy a 2000-2002 JAG regulator (because it is so much cheaper) and use those parts to swap out the plastic glide clips, metal brackets that attaches the glass window (previous owner threw these parts away), and the regulator plastic motor spool?
What do you people think?

Welcome to the forum Dobenja66,
IIRC the early Jag/Lincoln regulators will not fit your car neither will the later Lincoln unit, you need the correct one.
Someone was making the plastic clips for them, a serch of the forum should turn it up, not sure that I'd bother with that myself. YMMV.
Don't forget that intro post in the new members section!
