Replacing stock bulbs to LED bulbs malfunction
2005 s-type VDP
I recently replaced the small bulbs above my projector high beam bulb to led, and also the reverse lights and my high beams to led. They function properly, but wen I turn the car off the leds remain on, extremely dim but they still stay on. I removed them because I dont want them to stay on like that. Anyone one else here have expirence with this problem on their s-type before? I have other vehicles and replaced stock bulbs to led and they never gave me this pro blem.. So im guessing there is still very small amount of current running live even after the car is off.. Thanks

The only bulbs you should swap out with LEDs are the front parking/running lights (the small ones #194/168) in the headlamp housing, the interior bulbs and license plate. My fronts stay illuminated until the car goes into "sleep mode", no big deal. Yes your right there is a small current still going to them when you turn the vehicle off.

My 2005 S-Type sales brochure (which I requested from Jaguar USA Corporate in early 2009 shortly after purchasing our car in December 2008) lists the following amenities for the VDP version:
Xenon headlamps with automatic leveling, 16-way driver and 12-way passenger seat adjustments, 17-inch Aurora wheels, premium leather seats, console, and door panels with contrasting piping on the seats, heated front seats, burl walnut wood interior including steering wheel and shift knob, thick-pile carpeting, chrome mirror caps, and electric rear sunblind. I believe the VDP version was available only with the 4.2 V8 engine....
