Morning guys. i need a little (hopefully) help.
My s type 2.7 has gone into restricted performance with the following codes.
p0102
p140e
p140a
p2459
p0241
p0402
p244b
I would be most gratefull if you guys could help me in the right direction to get her back upto scratch. Many thanks in advance.

 

The first thing is to make sure the battery is in 1st rate condition.

You can also look the codes up in the official workshop manual.

The battery is in top condition. I cleared the codes and went for a blast on the motorway for about 40 miles. Checked the codes and only p140a remains. The restricted performance message has gone (for now at least). Thanks for the reply.

 

Being a P1 code you need the Jaguar meaning, which may be specific to your model & year, not any other one you find on the net.

I don't think I have it for a 2.7D S-Type but that is what you need. Avoid all other cars or you will be chasing the wrong items!

 

Andycub, please do remember that most of our membership is in the States and Canada; the 2.7 diesel was never sold here. Not that I want to send your inquiry to the "competition," but you also might want to inquire here:

There are several members on that forum who are from GB and own diesel powered S-types.

 

Exhaust gas recirculation sensor C - circuit low.

There will be two numbers after the P140a (if your reader can get them) that will help narrow it down.
