MORE LIKE GO GET CODES PULLED TO SEE WHAT THE ECU SEES OR SAW, AND HOPE THAT ITS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS NOT RETAINED UNLESS IT IS ACTIVILY IN RP, AND IT MAY BE A JAG SPEC CODE WHICH MEENS GO TO THE DEALER IF DOESNT SHOW UP AT AN AUTOPARTS STORE WHEN YOU HAVE THEM READ WITH A GENERIC SCANNER

Ok, I had a factory Jag filter in my R that was covered with sand, dragon flys, bugs, leaves, everything imaginable... I got annoyed with the dirty filter one day and went to the store and bought whatever they had thinking it would be better.. It was a purolator (which i know is a garbage filters) but better than a dirty one right? So i put it in and for the next 4 days got restricted performance at every light I was at then when I started driving again it and got over 30 it went off... So my problem solving abilities told me to reverse anything I had recently cahaged.. sure enough I put the dirty, bug covered factory filter back in and have not had a problem since... for over 2 months..

Our cars are very picky.. sometimes something as little as a filter can screw them up.. try an OEM jag filter and see what happens... (you will probably never see restricted performance again) also make sure the oil from your k&n didn't cook your MAF sensor.. or at least clean the sensor..

WELL IF YOU HAVE A P0171.P0174 IT CAN CAUSE RESTRICTED PERF IF LEAN ENOUGH, BUT OF ALL THE K&N FILTER IVE NEVER SEEN ONE CAUSE A FAULT IN A JAG, BUT HAVE SEEN TECHS AND CUSTOMERS NOT SNAP THE BACK SIDE DOWN CORRECTLY THAT HAS THE 4 TABS THAT GOES INTO THE SLOTS AND OR LEAVE THE AIR INTAKE DUCTS LOOSE. MATTER OF FACT, THE FACTORY LEAVES THESE LOOSE TOO.....FIND IT OCCASIONALY ON 1ST SERVICES, OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CHECKS
